Legal Education

In addition to our legal services, ACLC offers a free and comprehensive legal education programme to help members of the community understand their legal rights and responsibilities. We offer a range of workshops and seminars that cover common legal issues.

Our aim is to support the community by providing knowledge and expertise through qualified lawyers to assist and encourage people to make informed decisions. Our education seminars are directed not only to our clients but also community advocates, volunteers and not-for-profit organisations.

The areas of law our education programme covers include:

Know Your Rights Seminars:

We continue to run our popular Know Your Rights Seminars which provide practical legal advice on a range of issues including Family law, Immigration, Employment, Minor criminal, Tenancy and Consumer issues. These seminars are held either in person or by Zoom. Watch out for programme details and registration information below.

Custom made seminars and workshops:

We regularly present to community organisations and volunteers on a custom made basis so as to meet those organisations’ particular needs. Please contact us to discuss how we might assist and we would be happy to organise suitable sessions if there is sufficient demand.

UPCOMING EDUCATION:

No upcoming education sessions. Contact us at education@aclc.org.nz to enquire about setting up personalised education sessions for your organisation.
